¡Habiendo visto la luz a finales del mes de junio el que sería el primer single de su undécimo álbum de estudio (cuyo título podría ser o bien "Unbreakable" o "Conversations In A Cafe"), "No Sleeep", no ha sido hasta el pasado 24 de julio cuando ha visto la luz su respectivo vídeo musical!
El tema, una proposición amorosa y, al mismo tiempo, considerablemente apasionada, no podría rememorar más al estilo tan característico de Janet Jackson pero, eso sí, lanzado este 2015. Nos hallamos ante un exquisito Mid-Tempo R&B que, aunque carece de momento alguno que destaque por encima de la composición en general, brilla por su sutileza, magia y elegancia.
No obstante, a pesar de que dicha pista figura como el sencillo principal extraído de la próxima producción discográfica de la artista, que sería lanzada en otoño, la versión contenida en su videoclip y aquella que figurará en dicho disco consta de casi un minuto más de duración y cuenta con la colaboración de J. Cole.
Al igual que la interpretación únicamente cantada por Damita Jo, la versión que incorpora al artista invitado se halla ya a la venta en iTunes. De forma previa al estreno del clip, veía la luz un modesto Lyric Video promocional, por cierto.
Aunque para nada espectacular, hay algo en el ambiente del vídeo musical que le otorga un acabado plagado de encanto: toma lugar entre las cuatro paredes de un más que cálido hogar que, en esos momentos, se halla en mitad de una lluviosa noche. J. Cole también hace acto de presencia, siendo su imagen multiplicada durante la estrofa que recita dentro del tema. Pero, eso sí, hay que hacer especial mención a lo radiante que luce Janet, en especial en aquellas escenas que destacan por su pronunciada iluminación de tono rojizo. ¡Por no hablar del magnífico momento en el que homenajea a su hermano, Michael Jackson en las escaleras, bailando con un sombrero! O una de las imágenes mostradas en las paredes, en la que rinde tributo a su padre.
Por otro lado, no olvidéis que la próxima gira de la artista, "Unbreakable Tour", dará comienzo el 31 de agosto en Vancouver y, aunque aún no han sido confirmadas fechas en Europa, podéis adquirir entradas y reservar su nuevo trabajo a través de su web oficial. ¡Disfrutad de "No Sleeep"!
